I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in West Kent.

I qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. All of my training has been in London and the South East.

I undertook research in minimal access surgery (key hole surgery), which involved treating fibroids with low power lasers, and treating heavy periods.

I work in Hospitals in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. I work as a general gynaecologist and also specialises in the management of prolapse, incontinence, vaginal surgery and laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery.

I am an expert in the use of new and innovative techniques for the management of prolapse and incontinence. I and a colleague also introduced laparoscopic subtotal hysterectomies (“day-case” hysterectomies) to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, and we have introduced the procedure at the local Private Hospitals. These techniques are designed to reduce complications of treatment and improve outcomes.

I have good relationships with other specialists in: gynaecology (for example those involved in cancer treatments and infertility treatments); general, breast and bowel surgery; and different medical specialities and would be happy to suggest a referral, should that be necessary.

The team that I work with involves two excellent secretaries - in the NHS and Private. We have nurses who specialise in urogynaecology. They also help to run the urodynamic services.

We have dedicated physiotherapy services, for women’s health, both in the NHS and privately.
